gromit-mpx software package provides GTK based tool to make annotations on screen with multiple pointers, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gromit-mpx
gromit-mpx is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gromit-mpx package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gromit-mpx *
You will get with gromit-mpx package name, version, architecture and description in a table
